I'm Doing Good Question (next week)
Many of you have been wondering who will take over the Good Question segment now that Ben Tracy has left to go to CBS News. That good question will be answered tonight at 10.
I’m kidding. It’ll be answered right now. Kinda.
Tonight through Friday, Jeanette Trompeter will answer Good Questions (tonight — Why are habits so hard to break?). All next week, I’ll be doing it. (E-mail me if you have any burning Good Questions.) Then for the rest of January, it’ll be a rotating cast of characters. Dennis Douda will be in the mix, Frank Vascellaro and perhaps some others.
Will this be a permanent solution? Good question. We don’t know how this will work. Will viewers like the rotation or is it better to have one person? Does the cast of characters make things harder on the off-air staffers who produce our newscasts and promotions? Or will the rotation give a fresh jolt into Good Question, because of the variety of different styles? Who knows. We’re going to try it and see if it works. The whole premise of good question is that we don’t have all the answers, so I think it’s appropriate that we start this off by acknowledging that we don’t have the answer.
So don’t hesitate to share your feedback, especially next week when I get a crack at it. I’d really love it if some of you submitted some good questions via video. You can upload a question to YouTube or any other video site, and send me a link. It can be funny or serious. It can be you talking into a webcam, or a more produced video submission. Whatever you like.
You can also attach a video file to the official “Good Question” submission form.
So check out JT tonight at 10, and maybe she’ll explain why I can’t stop biting my fingernails. Perhaps she can explain why she and Heather are making a habit of jumping into a frozen lake. I think that’s a bad habit that needs to be broken!
