Jason's Videoblog Year in Review
It’s been another great year at the blog. I’ve been blogging at WCCO.com for nearly 3 years (Karna, my deskmate and web producer, says I wrote “Welcome to my blog” on February 18, 2005), but this has been the year of the video blog for me. We used to just do them in the building, but this year, with the help of a great group of photographers, we’ve been doing them out in the field. I think they’re pretty fun. Usually, they feature me making fun of the stories I’m covering. I’m grateful my bosses tolerate my mockery.
Anyway, here are some of my favorites. (As always, you can sign up to get the video blog in your e-mail here.)
Watch me drinking on the job
Awesome video: I get in the middle of a pillow fight!
Why are these anchor ladies in red?
Hours after my second son was born! (I forgot I did this one)
Me hoping the State Fair broadcast falls apart
On location with the huge media crowd at the 35W bridge collapse
Come on down: Blogging with Bob Barker’s microphone
On location in California: DeRusha the voiceover guy
Anna Nicole Smith’s death: Is it News?
A Lake so dangerous, we drive a car on it and video blog
Where do we park our news cars?
I hope you have a great 2008. And keep sending me your thoughts, questions, and story ideas. I’ve done many stories because of your e-mails. I take requests for video blogs too, so just shoot me an e-mail!
