More Shop Local Ideas
Thanks for all the e-mails about last night’s story on shopping local.
Some of your favorite local haunts:
Colin Kloecker suggests Sunny Day Earth Solutions at 26th & Como in Minneapolis. (he also wrote: “I’m so glad to see you take such a fair and balanced look at what it really means to be “green” and not shy away from the messy details that are often glazed over in MSM”)
Kirsten Thompson wanted me to mention her online jewlery shop, writing: “Terrific feature on buying local! I thought why not plug my shop! It is a part of the website Etsy.com! I have enjoyed terrific success in my first 9 months!)
Etsy features local artists and crafters, and if you click here, you can search for shops in or near your hometown.
Jane Ahlstrom wanted me to mention two great places for green shopping, Regifts at 42nd Avenue & Cedar in South Minneapolis and Twin Cities Green at 24th and Hennepin in Uptown (my stand-up was in front of TC Green).
And Larissa Loden wants you to visit Left Hand Originals. She’s a lefty and makes jewelry. For lefties and righties.
Thanks for your e-mails. There’s only a couple days left to shop. If you haven’t started shopping yet, or you’re a big procrastinator, Shoot me an e-mail. If you’re going to shop tonight (or not), maybe you could be part of my 10 p.m. story.
