Obese-Turned-Skinny Doctor Goes From DeBlog To DeTimes
Remember the story I did on Dr. Chris Balgobin, the doctor who lost 120 pounds? No? You don’t? Well here’s a link. Because I care.
The doc’s story is pretty cool. He’s my age, 32, and decided he had to do something about his mounting weight. He was over 300 pounds. And his patients were finding his advice about them losing weight a little hard to stomach.
That’s what made our story so interesting, on October 24.
A couple weeks later, the old grey lady caught up with us, writing about Dr. Balgobin’s story in the New York Times health blog, “Well”. It’s a really nice write-up, and his story is worth listening to. The doc didn’t use any kind of magic bullet, no pills, no surgery, nothing. He just started counting calories and working out.
We posted video of him making lunch to show you what kind of stuff he eats on a regular basis. It’s an inspiration, no question about it.
